While researching possible areas for some ATV camping trips I was amazed at how much of the forests here in Colorado have been damaged by the Mountain Beetle. By ATVCamper · Comments (3)
Monday, February 21st, 2011

I don’t think there is much argument on the re-population of the Grey Wolf. It has had a very positive effect on the eco system but the Grey Wolf population has grown faster than expected. By ATVCamper · Comments (1)
Friday, February 18th, 2011

As an avid ATVer, I thoroughly enjoy this sport and the outdoors and I will continue to defend my right for both. After sub zero temperatures and over 12” of snow over the last week I was pretty much tired of plowing and shoveling snow, it was time to play. With temperatures expected to be in the 50′s in town I headed towards Rampart Range this last Saturday for a ATV snow ride.

Digital Sports Watch – ATV Camping Gear?

By ATVCamper · Comments (5)
Friday, February 11th, 2011

I have never been much of a digital sports watch guy, mainly because they just didn’t seem to hold up to my lifestyle. Either the watch itself would stop working from constantly getting hit on things or the strap would break. The information they provided just wasn’t that important to me to keep replacing them.

By ATVCamper · Comments (7)
Monday, February 7th, 2011

The Aurora Fire Starter is an essential piece of camping gear. ATV camping in the back country has its fair share of challenges, being cold and wet is just one of them. So you are out riding and the clouds start to move in. Next thing you know you are in a down pour. You stop, put on your rain gear and continue your ride. Later on you return to the campsite looking forward to a warm fire and a hot meal.
