Monday, May 16th, 2011

One of the challenges we all face with riding ATVs is transporting them to and from the trail head. For local rides (within 50 miles) hauling one or two ATVs is not much of a problem for most vehicles. But for some of the ATV camping trips I go on we are hauling five to six (sometimes more) ATVs a hundred miles or more. This is when serious consideration must be used when selecting haul vehicles.

I read an article the other day about an unfortunate accident where a tent exploded killing a boy and injuring his father and sister. It was determined the accident was caused from a camping stove in the tent. A camping stove is a necessary piece of camping gear, but as seen from the story above without understanding camping stove safety your back country adventure could easily be compromised.
