Riding The Rock Garden

ATV trail riding in the back country is great but what I really enjoy is ATV technical riding and that is what I got to experienced on this ride. I joined six others just outside of Idaho Springs, Colorado to ride the trails of Saxton Mountain, but I was looking forward to riding the trail called Spring Creek or better known as Riding The Rock Garden.

First Snow of the Season

The first snow of the season came early this year. Where I live in Colorado we usually don’t get our first snow until after Halloween. But this year it’s early, dropping about four inches of heavy wet snow. A heavy snow like this causes havoc on the trees that still have their leaves so I was out early trying to knock the snow off of all of the sagging branches.
