Wolf Harvest Strategies

The re-introduction of the Grey Wolf was to help balance the eco-system damaged by the absence of the wolf. The wolf population has exploded since the re-introduction mainly due to wildlife and livestock no longer having the necessary skills to defend themselves against this long absence predator. Now management is necessary to bring the wolf population to a level in balance with other big game species. Snow Ride At Rainbow Falls

It was the day after a White Christmas here in Colorado. Only one-in-three Colorado Christmas’s actually have snow. With temperatures forecasted in the 40′s made it a great opportunity to get out for an ATV snow ride. This time I was going to Rainbow Falls, not the Manitou Springs waterfall, but the popular off-highway-vehicle area 10 miles north of Woodland Park, Colorado.
