ATV BACKPACKER Trailer

By ATVCamper
Monday, October 11th, 2010

The fall hunting season is here. Many hunters have found that the most convenient way to get to their favorite hunting spot is to use their ATV or UTV. A 4×4 utility ATV can easily carry 100 pounds of hunting gear and camping gear. But when it comes to hauling out that 12 point buck use the ATV BACKPACKER trailer.

Trailer ImageThe ATV BACKPACKER trailer was designed for the ATV hunter for hauling their kill out of the remote hunting areas. This trailer allows the hunter to spend less time packing and more time enjoying their hunt. During the early season when the weather is warmer, the ATV BACKPACKER cart shortens your transport time in the field allowing the hunter to begin processing their animal sooner.

The unique simple design of the ATV BACKPACKER enables one person to load and transport heavy cargo easily. By simply disengaging each wheel and folding them back, lowers the bed of the trailer to ground level, then roll the cargo onto the bed and use the unique lever arms on each wheel to easily lift the trailer back up to the transport position and lock the wheels back in position.

Weighing only 80 pounds the ATV BACKPACKER trailer can haul up to 800 pounds. The length (78 inches total) makes for a very stable ride and total width at just over 49 inches make it no wider that a full size ATV so it fits those tight trails you might encounter on you way to your campsite. With over 13″ of ground clearance, those trail obstacles are not much of a concern.

Box was wrapped very well and taped shut. After removing the top of the box, I noticed that all pieces were wrapped as well. This was nice to see that time was spent to make sure it looked great upon arrival. After removing all parts and checking the parts list,no parts were missing. My 13 year old son and I spent 20 minutes putting the trailer together, filled the tires to 32 psi, hooked it up the the ATV and he was gone. Towed very nice and straight. Definately VERY HEAVY DUTY. After buying 3 other trailers over the last 10 years, this will be the last trailer we buy. It will last a very long time…….Happy Hunting…

I have seen many trailers on the trail but this is the only one I would want behind my ATV.
